Solar Powered Titanium Watch for Men

The BERING Slim Solar collection is powered by the sun, beating to the rhythm of nature. Its energy source is sustainable and infinitely available: light. Not only sunlight, but any kind of light is converted into electrical energy by the solar cell under the face and stored in a rechargeable secondary battery. No battery change is required as in quartz watches. Once fully charged, the watch runs for 6 to 12 months, even if stored in complete darkness during this time.

The BERING Slim Solar collection features a highly scratch-resistant and flat sapphire crystal with a blue dial. The elegant case is made of high-quality, black IP-plated titanium, 8 mm wide and 40 mm in diameter. The strap is made of high-quality, black IP-plated titanium with titanium links, 170 mm long and 21 mm wide. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM / 50 m, with general resistance to splashing and showering, but not for swimming, snorkeling, or diving.

BERING's sapphire crystal is the third hardest transparent material after moissanite and diamonds, ensuring an unrestricted view of the dial. All BERING watches are equipped with this scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, unlike mineral glass, which is less resistant and more susceptible to scratching.

When stored in complete darkness, the watch typically runs for 6 months on a full charge until the next charge is necessary. This battery life increases when the watch is exposed to light in between. The watch has to be in the sun for about 24 hours to be fully charged. If charged with sunlight, it should not be left on the dashboard of a car, as the temperature can get extremely high.

If the battery is only charged weakly, the watch indicates this by moving the second hand in "two-second steps". The clock will run for another 3 days with this "two-second cycle", then the watch needs to be recharged.

In contrast to batteries in a conventional quartz watch, the battery does not have to be replaced regularly in the BERING Slim Solar collection.

BERING's story is inspired by the Arctic. The founder, Michael Witt Johansen, and his friend and co-founder, René Gross Kaerskov, have a deep connection to the Arctic region. In 2008, René parachuted on the North Pole, and Michael's love for Greenland and the Faroe Islands started the idea for BERING Time, combining Arctic beauty and the root elements of the world-famous, modern, timeless Danish design.
